Jason Rice has been practicing law for over 13 years, first in Florida and then in Maine and New Hampshire.
A native Floridian, Jason pursued a B.A. degree in History from the University of South Florida in Tampa. He then attended Stetson College of Law in Gulfport, FL where he earned his Juris Doctor degree.
Jason began is legal career as a Staff Attorney for the 13th Judicial Circuit Court in Tampa, FL where he assisted judges in a variety of areas, including family law. There he worked on numerous high-profile cases, some of which garnered national interest. At this time, he also co-authored, “Relocations: A Judge’s Perspective,” with the Honorable Judge Daniel Sleet.

In this position, Jason litigated hundreds of cases throughout the State of Florida–both settlements and those taken to trial.
Jason and his wife, Jessica, a native New Englander, relocated their family to Maine in the Spring of 2019. After initially working at a boutique law firm in Portland, Jason was recruited to a national family law firm in 2020, one of the largest in the United States.
Though having practiced other types of law, Jason has a deep passion for family law–one that has been fostered through his years of legal experience. He shared this passion with students by teaching family law courses for ten years at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, FL.
In his free time, Jason enjoys running, hiking, skiing–and all things New England–with his wife and three children.
